Website redesign and modernisation
A business with a site that already exists and is losing work: dated appearance, slow pages, poor mobile behaviour, weak rankings, or content nobody can edit without a developer.
What you get
- A measured baseline of the current site before anything changes, so the improvement is demonstrable rather than claimed.
- A migration plan that preserves existing URLs and search visibility, including redirects.
- Rebuild of the pages that earn traffic first, rather than a full redesign before any gain.
- A before-and-after record of the measurements taken.
How this differs from website design and development
A redesign carries a live site and its search history. The risk is different in kind: a new build can be launched when ready, while a redesign must not lose what already ranks.
How we approach it
- We inventory the existing site first — pages, traffic, inbound links and rankings — so nothing valuable is discarded in the rebuild.
- Redirects are mapped page by page before launch, because the most common redesign failure is a silent loss of pages that used to rank.
- We keep the old site reachable until the new one is verified, so a problem is a rollback rather than an outage.
What is out of scope
- Redesigning for appearance alone. If the site performs and simply looks older than you would like, we will say so and quote it as cosmetic work rather than as a growth project.
- Preserving every legacy URL when the content itself is being removed. Some pages should be retired; that gets stated and agreed rather than silently redirected.
How it is priced
Cost is driven by how much of the existing site has to be preserved — inbound links, rankings, custom functionality — and by how much content needs rewriting rather than moving.
See the pricing page for how that works in practice.
How to start
The first conversation is free and usually takes half an hour. Bring the problem as you experience it — what is not working and what you have already tried.
Tell us what you need
The more specific you are about the problem, the more useful the first reply will be. We read every enquiry ourselves.
